The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has dealt a severe blow to an already fragile global economy. Although the full scope of the human and economic impact of the pandemic will not be known for some time, the toll in both respects will be high. Pre-existing macroeconomic vulnerabilities make emerging market and developing economies (EMDEs) susceptible to economic and financial stress and this may limit the capacity and effectiveness of policy support at a time it is needed most. Even with policy support, the economic repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic are expected to be long-lasting , as we find in our latest analysis, as mentioned in a recent report by the World Bank issued on June 8th, 2020.
By early April, nearly 150 countries had closed all schools and mandated cancellation of events, and more than 80 had closed all workplaces in order to control the spread of the virus. Travel restrictions were widespread. The mandatory lockdowns, together with spontaneous social distancing by consumers and producers, have wreaked havoc on global activity and trade, and have been accompanied by gyrations in financial markets and sharp declines in oil and industrial metals prices.

We had a delicious dinner in a true Middle Eastern ambiance last week, started with dips, olives & other starters & savored the special Lamb Tagine , the recipe was perfectly created by Chef Maria with traditional spices , the soft, tender lamb garnished with almonds & prunes was amazing to go with Bulgur Rice.
The restaurant has well kept its traditions. The hospitality & traditional ambiance is great. Free flowing Moroccon Qehwa was served. The desserts include a delicious assorted selection of Arabic sweets stuffed with nuts.

We were invited for breakfast at Ketchup Restaurant.
We opted to sit outside as till last week the weather was comfortable enough to sit outside and enjoy the beauty of this place with passing by yachtes in Marina & overlooking tall JBR building views.
The restaurant menu for breakfast offers both savory & sweet items. We had Breakfast Omelette stuffed with Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese.
The other dish which we had was Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon, Zucchini & Hollandaise sauce. Chef at Ketchup prepares delightful items by combining Smoked Slamon with healthy veggie ideas. Heavily topped Hollandaise Sauce made each bite so delightful.
But as I mentioned they have some other great dishes to try in their breakfast menu.

Marking its 60th anniversary, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) celebrated with a glamourous event at CE LA VI Dubai under the theme ‘Luxperience’ in partnership with Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok. The event highlighted luxury travel in Thailand, and in parallel, saw the launch of seven animal-themed family suites that have been added to Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok, the five star resort-style property located at the heart of the city.
