Blogger’s Day Out to Lulu Warehouse and Central Kitchen

Last week a group of bloggers were off for a visit at  Lulu’s Warehouse  & Central Kitchen lead by Digital marketing manager Ginil George, we got a chance to see behind the scenes  hard work and efforts  done by Lulu expert staff members to maintain and retain the standards due to which Lulu hypermarkets & supermarkets have been so famous throughout Middle east and other countries.

My  visit to lulu stores is always to grab best quality household & grocery stuff. Not only this, I always end up by over stuffing my trolley from their vegetables & fruit section. The freshness, aroma and quality of herbs is irresistible. The reason for this excellence is how each and every perishable item is observed and packed with care at their warehouse.

The cooked food section has delicious dishes prepared every day in Lulu’s Central Kitchen. Under the supervision of Head Chef Nair, his recipes are popularly consumed all across Lulu stores and cater the taste and requirement of mixed culture here in Middle east.

We  witnessed the making of fried items, Indian sweets, cakes, cookies and how the vegetables for pickles are cut & preserved here in hygienic & healthier way.

Chef explained, to keep it fresh, icing of cakes is done on the  stores once the stuff reached there.

Thanks to Lulu for the generous giveaways which also  included mouthwatering Indian sweets & variety of pickles like Dates, Inji Puli, Kadumanga & Mixed pickles.

I couldn’t resist trying my own recipe of chicken using the Inji Puli pickle given by Lulu.  With just two tablespoons of Inji Puli into chicken, turned out to be an amazing Inji Puli Chicken dish.
