The tournament scheduled to be on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 February at the AC Milan Academy Dubai headquarters at GEMS International School Al Khail. The two-day sporting event will involve hundreds of young footballers along with their families.
AC Milan Academy Dubai was launched in February 2016 and offers training sessions following the AC Milan Methodology. AC Milan provides a cutting-edge technical, educational and methodological know-how that is also used for the youth sector in football schools in Italy and internationally. The presence of the Club’s official coaches here in Dubai is fundamental to its ongoing success. Furthermore, football carries a great social value, and it’s great to see so many girls also playing football in Dubai.”
Lorenzo Giorgetti, Chief Commercial Officer AC Milan commented, “We are delighted to be in Dubai, a city that thanks to a ten-year partnership with Emirates Airline, has developed a tight bond with AC Milan, thus confirming the strong belief that football is one of the most beautiful and fascinating sports in the world and a powerful vehicle for teaching values such competitiveness, respect for roles, social cohesion, integration and tolerance between people and cultures. We wanted to be here to show the Club’s closeness with the Academy and to our partners. One of our missions is to support families, institutions and local authorities in the promotion of the benefits of football and sport as a whole.”
Bruno Bertucci, General Manager and Director of AC Milan Academy Dubai continued, “To be able to share the values and AC Milan’s method means a solid foundation on which to continue to build and grow the AC Milan Academy in Dubai. Since 2016 – and even before thanks to the AC Milan Junior Camps between 2013 and 2016 – we are committed to looking for innovative solutions that can offer our girls and our boys the best opportunities, both in sports and in the integration between many different nationalities and cultures. Our next challenge is to develop relationships and synergies with partners specialised in the field of sports medicine and nutrition to cover both sporting and educational aspects.”
Fabio Zucchelli, Chief Financial Officer and Director of AC Milan Academy Dubai added, “Integration with schools is a priority for us. Since the Academy launched in Dubai, we have collaborated with local schools to support both the teams that play in the school leagues and with extra-curricular activities.
