The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre has welcomed Chef Altamash Iqbal to the luxury hotel ahead of the Diwali festival of lights.
We were invited to savor Diwali delicacies at a specially curated Diwali Buffet Menu by Chef Altamash. Chef Altamash has taken over specialty restaurant Cara, a sophisticated dining experience that offers an international menu blending European, Indian, Asian and Middle Eastern influences, as well as developing specialty menus for seasonal events and festivities.
Guests visiting The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre between 6 – 13 November 2018 are invited to join Chef Altamash and his team for a spectacular culinary celebration of Diwali.The Hindu festival of lights signifies the victory of light over darkness and Cara under the helm of Chef Altamash unites families and friends, whilst offering an abundance of food with an authentic dining experience and live cooking stations.
We were up for an authentic Indian Cuisine to mark the occasion.The Chef along with his team made the entire dining experience perfect. Live cooking & grilling was being done.
Get your favorite chaats & Pani Puri etc from the chaat counter.
And while you enjoy your tangy starters & chaats & Soup, you can ask for your favorite grills to be done at the Tandoor. We got our seekhs(skewer) each of Chicken Tikka,Prawns(achari mirch ke jhingay) & Fish. Succulent grills were done to perfection.
However as in Indian cuisine they do have some hot & spicy recipes, & if you are fond of spicy flavors you will find it here in many dishes. ….. & don’t forget to try Baluchi Raan & Patrani Machli. Specialty of Chef, soft slow cooked Lamb is well immersed in flavors.
For the Veg option they offer innovative starters too like Palak Ki Shammi, patties made from spinach & hung yogurt & Subz Badam Ki Shikampuri vegetable cutlets garnished with almond flakes.
The buffet includes variety of chutneys to add more delight to your meals like Fig, Pineapple, Papaya, Berry, Tamarind & Apple.
The Salad counters serves fresh & Mediterranean Salads.
Lip smacking lined up gravies include veg & non-veg options like Dhingri Lazeez, Paneer Akbari ( stuffed paneer), Dal Makhni in veg option.
In Non- Veg you can savor the exotic blends in curries like Gosht Awadhi Qorma, Lobster Masala, Handi Murgh, & Lehsuni sarson Ke Jhenge.
Loved the freshly baked tandoori & stuffed chappatis & innovative mini Sheermal breads.
Desserts are the centre of attraction during the Diwali themed dinner evenings.
To celebrate , they have a spectacular setup of Indian sweets & other Indian desserts which include Shahi Tukre, Gulab Jamun, Kheer, Ras Malai & Kulfi.
