The restaurant’s warm, happy feel coupled with Chef Izu’s feel-good food, has made Carine become a regular hangout for a variety of guests, from groups of friends and families, to couples looking for a secluded spot on the terrace.
Even the on week days the restaurant attracts a huge foodie crowd. Sunday evening was so lively there as we visited the venue, soon most of the tables were occupied.
The restaurant offers a selection of French Mediterranean inspired dishes.
The restaurant has an elegant interior, classy arrangement with clear glass windows to get lovely golf ground views & flood of lights.
Our table was booked inside, we had the most caring bunch of staff including cheerful Diana, as I requested to be moved outside on Terrace which is now already an ideal spot to enjoy dinner & weather. The staff made it possible with such a heavy booking outside, & we could enjoy our half of dining experience at the Terrace.
Che Izu had a wonderful meal plan for us with a set menu consisting of three starters, three main courses & three desserts.
And before we start , we mixed our simple olive oil & lemon dressing at the spot on our table & enjoyed with freshly served breads. The idea is to prepare every thing fresh & serve in healthier way.
Our drinks were Berry Smash & fresh Orange Juice.
Starters:
Gambas grilles a la pomme et a l’harrisa N …… portion of succulent Grilled Tiger Prawns with Apple-Harrisa Relish, dip in the prawn bites in relish & enjoy!
Salade de pasteque fromage de feta copeaux d’amande et basilica N …….. another attractive presentation done by cutting squares of watermelon drizzled with sauce, topped with chopped Feta Cheese & garnish of Basil.
Tarte flambee ……. Our third starter was this Onion Tart heavily layerd with caramalized sliced onions & buratta.
Main Course:
Selle d’agneau marinee aux epices, acompagnee de puree de topinambour et compote a la tomate …… this was spicy marinated lamb saddle with parsnip puree & tomato compote.
Daurade grillee ………. Grilled Seabream, this whole fish beautifuly presented & ornamented with cherry dried tomatoes was perfectly done.
Gnocchis a la tomato fraiche ……… Gnocchi Sorrentina done in tomato sauce & garnish of Feta Cheese was good.
The food served here is guaranteed fresh, light & normal in portions good enough for sharing amongst two. Good food accompanied by pleasant weather specially if you dine outside these days. Don’t miss out!
Desserts:
Some very delectable items are found in the menu, Chef Izu’s expertise is all seen in Tiramisu which was so soft & indulgent, so was the Passionfruit Cheesecaken & on top of the three desserts served to us …. Crème Brulee is at the top. Do try this most delicious Crème Brulee available here.
Desserts are more delightful when paired with a hot beverage like light Jasmine Tea, we had it to end up our meals.
All mentioned above was our detailed set menu served to us , additionally, dainers can also indulge in juicy, 50 hours cooked Short Rib -cooked sous vide – served with roasted padron peppers, carrots and sweet baby onions. For those who’ve left room after their entrees and main course, the restaurant’s dessert menu isn’t shy of options either. The signature Tarte Tatin can be ordered alongside a cup of coffee brewed from a blend crafted exclusively for Carine.
