Coral Beach Resort Sharjah is delighted to host celebrity award-winning chef, Marco J. Morana, at its Italian restaurant, Al Dente form May 2 to May 5, 2018 from 10:30 am to 4 pm. During this time, Morana is offering the opportunity of taking you to his world of culinary delights through special interactive classes.

Chef Morana has also prepared a set menu to make your experience extraordinary. The culinary classes will not only give you the chance to try his set menu but will also indulge the guests in his cooking techniques through live engagement sessions organized by him at the restaurant. Morana is an award-winning chef with up to 30 years of experience.

Mr. Haytham Abdul Aziz, General Manager of Coral Beach Resort Sharjah, said, “We are very excited and take immense pride in having Chef Morana over at our restaurant Al Dente. We had the pleasure to dine at Al Dente. An interactive ambiance where not only we got to try the delectable set menu prepared by Chef Marco J Morana but at the same time had conversation & valuable words from the Michelin Star Chef.

The set menu offers a choice in starters, main dishes & desserts. You still have chance to try this delicious set menu till the 5th of May. Here is the detail of what is on offer and what we opted for our dinner.

piatti di antipasti – breads, olives & pickles.
Tre calzonetti – three mini calzones filled with roasted vegetables, chicken & fish.
Spiedini di gamberi – garlic prawn skewers & Italian coleslaw salad.
Bruchetta y mozzarella – toasted Italian bread cherry.
Lasagna di pollo –
Filleto de cernia e carciofo – pan seared hammour, artichoke, roasted balsamic vegetables.
Ossobucco Milanese – slow braised veal shank & saffron risotto.
Ravioli ripieni di spinaci – handmade ravioli filled with baby spinach, ricotta cheese.
Pollo Arrosto e polenta
Zabliagone di con fragile – Italian warm custard & marinated strawberries.
Tiramisu – classic mascarpone cream dessert.
Crema di Arancia rossa – homemade blood orange dessert.

Our welcome drink was Pina Colada, we were served breads with olives & pesto.

Starters:
Tre calzonetti – three mini calzones filled with roasted vegetables, chicken & fish……. warm & soft Calzones had rich & sumptuous stuffings.
Spiedini di gamberi – garlic prawn skewers & Italian coleslaw salad.

Main Course:
Filleto de cernia e carciofo – pan seared hammour, artichoke, roasted balsamic vegetables …….. a big soft hammour fillet with juiciness intact served on a bed of flavorful vegetables.

Ossobucco Milanese – slow braised veal shank & saffron risotto ……. the lamb was also done perfect, so soft and delicious, coated with mild gravy & served with risotto.

Desserts: Zabliagone di con fragile – Italian warm custard & marinated strawberries …… sliced strawberries were coated with warm, delicious egg & milk custard.
