Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments Bur Dubai Team is welcoming guests at Fountain restaurant every Wednesday between 7 pm and 10:30 pm to serve an array of Arabic, Mexican, Asian, Indian and much more in a Street Food Style.
Family or friends can dive into authentic street flavours from the street food carts and live cooking stations offering Beijing duck bao, taqueria, koshari, falafel, dim sum, laksa, ghaal moori and satays, as well as freshly squeezed cane juice and Mövenpick soft ice cream. All age groups can enjoy great treats at Movenpick.
With the launch of this interesting themed buffet dinner along with a ‘Street food’ Concept. The entire restaurant turned vibrant & complete street style. The hustle and bustle of a street where noise, liveliness, crowd of passers-by and most interestingly the hawkers, vendors and carts are also seen serving street food to its guests, kids & adults enjoy while being at the stall or take food to the tables.
Its always so pleasing to eat street food from various countries & if you are a real foodie you will enjoy to know how much variety of street food at this themed dinner is on offer at Movenpick.
The real Papad, Chana & chaat Cycle carrying all its chaat stuff on a bicycle along with spices depicts the true Indian/Pakistani street snack. It is served in newspaper cones.
Tex Mex … The Mexican cart serving crunchy spicy crispy Tacos. There are options like Ancho Beef, Green Mole Chicken, & Vegetables. The toppings are Gucamole, Tomato Salsa, Roasted Pepper Salsa & Sour Cream.
Next comes the cart which serves Duck Bao. Bao means buns which are steamed & popularly used in China and many other countries. Roasted shredded duck pieces are stuffed in these buns and served.
Freshly prepared Dim sums & Noodles are also available at the next cart.
Middle Eastern snacks like Koshari, Kibbeh, Falafel, Musakhan & also Foul.
Freshly extract Sugarcane juice is a specialty from Pakistan where vendors serve chilled sugarcane juice popularly consumed in summer. Now you can have it fresh here at Movenpick.
The famous Pao Bhaji from India which has soft buttered buns served with mixed vegetables are also available.
Veitnamese Bun Thang Photron … a dish of noodles.
Other than Street Food Stations, a variety of salads is added in the menu like Glass Noodle Salad, Indonesian Gado Gado & Carrots, Peruvian Seafood Salmon Ceviche, Mezzehs, Chilean Tomato, Palm Heart Watercress, Rice, Prawn, Squid Crackers with dipping sauce, Thai Somtom Salad, Saigon Street Rice Pepper Roll, Cambodian Beef Salad, hot mezzehs,Samosa etc
Meat/Sefood/ Grills …… Hunks of Dry Beef & Turkey hung in a corner are centre of attraction.
Not only this, the Grill corner is enormous with staff ready at your service. We got to try very delicious crispy grilled Red Mullet, Chicken Satay , Lamb Skewers, Sausages and Seafood Skewers. Enjoyed the grills.
In mains course again a mix variety is available where you can have Pakistani Style Mutton Curry which I enjoyed with fresh chappatis. Thai Seafood Curry, Rendang Nasi Goreng, Beef Rendang, Tandoori Roasted Chicken, Chick Pea Curry. So in one visit, enjoy an array of flavors & dishes.
Desserts: The gorgeous Sweet Shop has all sorts of Arabic sweets, pastries, puddings, fresh fruit etc. You will also find Japanese Street Crepes, Mango Sticky Rice Pudding, Warm Churros with Hot Chocolate Sauce, Agar Agar, Basbousa, Baklava, Donuts, Aussie Lamingtons, Kunafeh, Eclairs etc And eat as much ice-cream as you want from the machine , flavors of your choice!
