Last Friday we attended the popular ‘’Art of Spice’’ dining experience. ’’Art of Spice’’ is themed Indian Buffet night at Medley by Celebrity Chef Sweety Singh at Pullman Dubai Creek. With the arrival of hot weather, Chef Sweety Singh has introduced his new Summer menu. Indian recipes done in Punjabi style prepared by him are always a hit in Medley’s menu. ‘Art of Spice’ themed nights by Chef Sweety Singh consists of an extensive range of veg & non-veg recipes. His recipes are prepared in a healthy style & as Chef says by himself, he focuses more on keeping the health standards by consuming less fats and any over excess use of nuts or spices. Punjabi cuisine is itself quite rich & at times hot in flavors, but Chef Sweety focuses on retaining the original flavors of each dish by keeping a balance while he prepares his dishes . The staff & chefs are well trained under his guidance.
The Indian night at Medleys always turns vibrant with colors, this time also restaurant showcased Indian theme in ambiance and the staff were dressed in accordance to the theme.
So as always the Summer menu also had an array of dishes . If you like desi /Punjabi cuisine or missing your Mom’s home cooking, then must try ‘’Art of Spice’’ themed night by Chef Sweety Singh.
Chaat Station was a big attraction for the guests. Many guests gathered around the Chaat station & enjoyed tangy crispy Gol gappas, chana chaat, dahi puri etc.
On the other hand, popularly consumed summer drink lassi & mango lassi was on offer in big clay pots. These clay pots gives a refreshing effect to escape from summer heat.
Soups: Tomato Shorba & Kukad Wala Shorba. Both had an amazing taste, I tasted a bit from both !
Salads / Chutneys: Chutneys and salads are lined up and guests are spoilt for choice. I found all my favorite chutneys like, Mint chutney, mango chutney, you will also find home like achar here. In salads all fresh salads finely cut beetroot, tomatoes, bell pepper, white onion, cucumber, red raddish & all other fresh vegetables. Chicken Tikka Salad, Lobster Salad, Bitter Gourd Salad, Chickpea Salad, Aloo Chaat, Fruit Chaat, & Paneer Tikka Salad.
Starters / Grills : Lip-smacking veg & non-veg variety is available here like Tandoori Phool, Achari Aloo, Paneer Tikka, Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Fry & Crispy flavorful Lamb Chops.
Mains: Vegetarian options were …. Wadi Wala Chawal, Saag Paneer, Dahi Wala Khatti Bengan, Pindi Chole, Amritsari Kadi.
Non-Veg Options …….Khumb Taka tak, Meat Wala Chawal, Jhinga Masala, Anari Meat, Bhunna Kukad. A very drooling menu and each dish is tasty without any doubt.
Desserts: Chef’’s expertise is also visible at the massive display of desserts like authentic Shahi Tukray, Gulab Jamun, Rabri, Coconut Barfi. Swayian ki Kheer, Gajar Halwa, Ras Malai, Kheer, Sago Kheer, Jalebi, Laddo , Mango Firni.
In addition to this all freshly cut fruits and delicacies by the pastry chef are also remarkable. Some of which are ….. Strawberry Roll, Blueberry Panacotta, Cream caramel, Dolce Vita, Chocolate Mousse Cake, Mango Pannacota, Lemon Tart, Chocolate Mousse, Pecan Tart & Raspberry Pannaota.
