Like a shooting star that lights up a desert sky, Oud satin mood extrait de parfum leaves an enchantingly opulent sillage. In this newest creation, an abundance of roses from Turkey and Bulgaria round out the oud wood’s dark, animalistic tones with their sensuality, before enveloping the violet blossoms in softness.

The audacity of opulence
Like a shooting star that lights up a desert sky, OUD satin mood extrait de parfum leaves an enchantingly opulent sillage. In this newest creation by Francis Kurkdjian, an abundance of roses from Turkey and Tunisia round out the oud wood’s dark, animalistic tones with their sensuality, before enveloping the violet blossoms in softness. The extrait de parfum interpretation remains the perfumer’s ultimate olfactory signature: without contradicting his fragrance’s original inspiration, he has provoked an opulent explosion of its most prominent notes while ensuring a harmonious new whole. Just as the OUD satin mood eau de parfum evokes the sensual movements of satin, this extrait de parfum variation accentuates the fabric’s Oriental reflections.

The House of an Artist
He knows how to talk about perfume like no other, using images that speak to everyone. Born an artist, Francis Kurkdjian became a perfumer. Through an association of ideas. Because he has a feel for his times, a desire to tell beautiful stories and curiosity about people and raw materials. For the pleasure of giving pleasure. For an attraction to taking risks – the antidote to boredom.
He has been taking risks since he started out more than 20 years ago. Instead of settling comfortably into the beginnings of a brilliant career, he opened the pathways to a new vision. He lent his talent to contemporary artists, set about re-creating Marie-Antoinette’s perfume, went back in time to the early 17th century and the sources of perfumery. He was the first to open his bespoke fragrances atelier, going against the trend of perfume democratization. He has created gigantic olfactory installations in emblematic spaces, making people dream with his ephemeral and spectacular perfumed performances. All this, while continuing to create perfumes for world famous fashion brands and designers, as fresh as ever.
In this creative display of brilliance the artist gained substance. He and the perfumer became one and the same. The foundations of an eponymous fragrance house were laid. Maison Francis Kurkdjian was born in 2009 from the encounter between Francis Kurkdjian and Marc Chaya, ex Ernst & Young advisory partner. Together, they fulfilled their desire for a sensual, generous and multi-facetted landscape of free expression, creating a new emblem of French know-how and lifestyle.
Maison Francis Kurkdjian has since developed into a key player in the luxury fragrance market with presence in nearly 500 ultra selective retail locations in more than 40 countries. The Maison Francis Kurkdjian collection is sketched like a fragrance wardrobe, with myriad of facets of emotions. Designed in the tradition of luxury French perfumery, it advocates nevertheless a contemporary vision of the art of creating and wearing perfume. Maison Francis Kurkdjian has been a member of Comité Colbert since January 2016 and part of LVMH group portfolio since March 2017.
