Mosaic Restaurant – Abu Dhabi

Mosaic Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Last week we were in Abu Dhabi at Mosaic Restaurant. Although getting hotter but still a bit windy out there in Abu Dhabi made a nice trip. Mosaic is a Lebanese Restaurant, conveniently located in Abu Dhabi, restaurant covers a normal space with an outdoor seating arrangement as well. The décor is done with antique collection , some classy pieces are displayed on walls and also seen in the entire décor of restaurant. Live cooking station, has an expert team of chefs, freshly baked breads kept coming throughout our meals. The brain behind this whole concept and the expert hands running the kitchen of the restaurant is none other than the passionate lady who is the owner of this restaurant, Hassana believes that by involving herself into the cooking behind the kitchen along with her expert team of helpers is the secret of success and of course the reason to maintain the standards in cooking.
Not only cooking, the hospitality of the staff is remarkable. Hassana along with her husband was involved in catering back in Egypt, they also have a background of chocolate business, so basically moving around the food line, they made this restaurant operational since one year.
Hassana prepares all dishes with deep interest and care , retaining the authenticity & original Lebanese flavors. The menu offers a wide range.

Variety of fresh juices were offered to us which included, Orange, Pineapple, Watermelon, Strawberry, Lemonade & Mango.

Hot & Cold Mezzes: Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Fatoush, Tabbouleh. Truly delicious Baba Ganoush ….. I couldn’t take my hands off from those hot bread Khubuz and flavored a bit smokey Baba Ghanoush.

In hot mezzeh we had ….

Cheese Rolls: Deep crispy fried rolls stuffed with cheese & parsley.

Hummus with Meat : Fine cuts of lamb fillet on top of hummus.
Batata Harra: Roasted Potatoes, with hints of garlic and spices ….. very delicious potato recipe to try!

Makanik: traditional lamb meat chunks with mild flavors.

Fateh Badin Jan: A very attractive and at the same time delicious item, eggplant & bread pieces are drenched in yogurt & tomato sauce heavily garnished with pine seeds.

Mains / Grills ….
We had the most perfectly grilled meat here. Big platters of mixed grills were served on each table, it included:

Shish Tawok …. marinated chicken grilled with lemon & olive oil.

Kabab Laham ….. minced meat kebabs ( seekh kebabs) marinated in special spices.
Lamb Ribs …. Crispy tasty lamb chops done on Charcoal, touch of Arabic spices gave a new flavor.

Meat Tikka ….. delicious lamb chunks done in traditional spices.

Kibbeh Bin Laban …. Lamb meat is mixed with Borghul, cooked in yougurt and served with rice.

Desserts :
Rice Pudding … a version of kheer, rice cooked in milk and served with ice cream.
Assorted ice cream flavors were also served.

Thanks to Mahi Blog for introducing this place, which is worth visiting again. And to Hassana for preparing delicious food, great hospitality and serving the best out of their menu.
