We had a pure vegetarian indulgence during my recent visit at a featured Indian restaurant ‘Rajdhani’ serving authentic ‘Thali’ populalrly known as ‘The King of Thali’. As the name says, it proved to be distinctive in terms of food and hospitality.
Apart from Meat Grills, Lamb Ouzi, Beef/Chiken/Mutton Biryanis, Qorma, Seafood, and all this…. pure vegetarian restaurant kept us entertained throughout the evening with its mini vegetarian servings & with an unlimited refilling. The hospitality of staff is remarkable.
Variety of starters , main course & desserts in a same Thali is so much interesting. I had a childish feeling when Thali was being filled up with so colorful assorted stuff, and the child gets happy getting more and more of belongings… that’s true!
While your Thali is getting ready, you will be pampered , a stylish vessel with warm water will come to your table to wash your hands.
At Rajdhani they offer a different set Thali menu each day. Pure vegetarian menu with special dietry restrictions is also available.
We had our Saturday dinner and our menu was….
Welcome Drink: Strawberry juice was served as welcome drink.
Salad: Carrot Pineapple Salad.
Chutney/ Accompaniment: Coriander Chutney, Bharela Mirchi, Mirchi Thecha, Diced Onion, Papad.
Breads: Phulka, Beetroot Puri, Bajra Roti, Puranpoli… enjoyed eating all these varieties with dal & vegetables.
Farsan ( Starter) : Amiri Khaman, Punjabi Roll, Dahi Wada. Amiri Khaman is the Dhokla which I always try when I am at vegetarian restaurants. Punjabi roll was delicious boiled potato roll.
Special of The Day: Dal Baati Churma …. Enjoyed eating this item, the serving style is more interesting here , small portion of crushed bread is placed in a small bowl and daal with thin consisitency is poured over .
The good thing is you can have unlimited refillings for your dishes.
Vegetables: Paneer Gulshan, Green Gujarat, Aloo Tomato Rasawala, Govind Gatta. All these vegetables had different flavors enjoyed eating with soft mini Phulkas which kept coming one after the other.
Gujarati Khati Mithi Dal, Mooli Dal, Rajasthani Kadi. I tried sweet dal for the first time.It was good, Mooli Dal and curry were also delicious.
Rice/ Kichdi: Jaipuri Mewa Pulao, Masala Moong Dal khichdi…. Mewa Pulao had hints of cashews & other dry nuts. Kichdi had mild flavors.
Sweet of the Day: Badam Halwa, Khajur Basundi, Gulabi Malpua with Rabri…. Badam Halwa was richly prepared with nuts, Khajur Basundi was a liquid sweet, malpua is like slightly stiff sweet pancakes which is good when it is still warm, served with Rabri which is a specialty of Indian region.
Restaurant has an organized seating arrangement , with seperate sections, where families and groups can have a comfortable time. Restaurant keeps its traditions very well through its hospitality serving styles and food. They also have home delivery service.
