Award winning Indian Restaurant, Gazebo has opened five new outlets recently in Khalidiyah Mall Abu Dhabi, Al Twar and Business Bay, Al Shamkha Abu Dhabi and in Ajman.
Gazebo is much acclaimed for its traditional recipes from the royal kitchens of Lucknow, Awadh and the North Western Frontier, which were ruled by the Dum Pukht cuisine. Today the restaurant has won awards for being an authentic Dum Pukht restaurant.
We had our dinner at their Bin Sougat outlet. The restaurant has a very calm ambiance , with a very comfortable & private seating atmosphere, perfect for private gatherings,families or business groups.
The menu is quite detailed with plethora of veg & non – veg dishes. Variety of starters, interesting recipes of chicken & lamb kebabs, a whole lot of seafood dishes,juicy grills, gravies etc authentic curries and rice varieties. Some dishes include kebabs & mushrooms with great combinations in stuffings and Raan-E-Sikandari, Jhinga Zaitooni, Murgh Zafrani Biryani, Dhingri Mutter Paneer and many more.
And above all are the traditional desserts done in a splendid way.
We had a lavish spread of dishes for our dinner. It was an extravagance of grilled / chargrilled meat dishes which we savored on.
Here is the detail of what we tried …..
Crispy fried popadums were served with condiments like achaar, sliced onions & mint raaita.
IBTEDAH … means to start :
Menu includes all varieties fresh juices, mocktails, lassi, flavored lassis, milk shakes,falooda etc. We had fresh Pineapple & Watermelon juice.
SAATH …. It included all sorts of fresh salads, we had Fattoush.
They also have an option named KUCH … which offers starters/appetizers. But after going through the amazing list of grills/kebabs, we opted for some chicken & lamb kebabs.
1.Murgh kalimirch Kabab ….. this was a delicious recipe of big soft & succulent chicken chunks prepared in yogurt & black pepper marination.
2.Burrah Chops Lazeez …. chargrilled tender & creamy lamb chops infused with mild flavors , too delicious & delicate to eat.
Samudra – seafood
3.Jhinga Tandoori …. crispy chargrilled jumbo prawns with an amazing blend of marination & spices.
I would say all these above grilled recipes are a must try, if you want to have a true grilled treat.
Basmati ka khazana – Rice
4.Murgh Tikka Biryani ….. The Biryani at Gazebo is legendary. Earthen clay pots sealed with bread dough which adds more flavor to this authentic delicious biryani with chicken tikka pieces.
The way dum cooking is done with live coals to prepare a particular dish & many other details are part of the trade secrets which is being passed to generations.
ROTIYAN: We had Pyaz nan, stuffed with chopped onion and coated with butter.
DESSERTS: Desserts here are irresistible , traditional desserts are served in clay pots, the flavor added into these pleasing desserts is a secret and specialty only at Gazebo.
1.Zafrani Firni …. served in earthen pot, firni is mouth melting with hints of saffron and kewra.
2.Angoori Rabdi …. another amazing dessert served in mini clay pots, cheese balls are cooked sugar syrup and soaked in thickened condensed milk.
3.Fresh Fruit Salad with Ice-Cream …. Small fresh fruit bites are topped with cream sauce & a scoop of ice-cream.
