Our recent staycation on Eid was at Movenpick Hotel JBR. We had a very good stay experience, hotel has all the amenities, great views, with availability of late night food, coffee/shisha for the guests.
Executive suites had good accommodation , suana & steam was under maintenance during our period of stay, and seemed like concerned Spa staff was not very well aware of it. Guests staying in Executive suites also had the facility to use Executive lounge, where complimentary evening tea with snacks are served and you can have coffee till mid night. Lounge is comfortable for families & groups of friends to relax, with great view of JBR, it also has a small reading / computer area.
We had option to have our breakfast either in the lounge specified for the guests staying in executive suites or it could also be done in Talk Restaurant situated within hotel. So after having seen the openness & bright spacious restaurant we opted for talk restaurant which has also been awarded by BBC Good Food for the best brunch. Restaurant has a good size with outdoor and indoor arrangement. Clear & sized glass windows gives an outer view and enough light making a lively ambiance.
Various live cooking stations serve Arabic & Indian specialties and a huge spread of dishes like Tawa Paratha, buttery peas curry, Beef sausages, Tomato & Herb Scramble, Steamed vegetables, Falafels, All in one Brekkie ( a mixed dish specified for breakfast), Turkey bacon, Vegetable Rice Noodles, Congee ( a type of rice porridge), Peach Compote, Plum Compote, Lychee Compote, Plain Yogurt, mixed berry smoothie, mango smoothie, smoked Fish, Selection of Sushi, variety of gluten free items was also added in menu. Live cooking stations on one side served eggs of your choice. Variety of hot & cold mezzes, juices, milk, different kinds of jams, honey, variety of breads, muffins, croissants, and a lot more. Had a good stay experience along with breakfast !
