Had I not visited Orchid Restaurant , I wouldn’t have known about the quality and excellence of food and service here. I had the pleasure of attending an iftar here.
The restaurant being part of the Ramada Hotel chains ,retains its standards in terms of food and ambiance. Their entrance lobby is quite spacious , specially decked these days in coherence of Ramadan with a traditional Ramadan tent and coffee .
The Orchid restaurant gathered a huge crowd, the reason being the taste and delectability of dishes. All tables were fully booked. The restaurant has different small dining areas which are partitioned, which is comfortable for families and private group iftars.
Menu provides a good range of dishes which is a mix of Continental and Arabic cuisine . For iftar they had mixed fatayer /sambosek, all kinds of dry nuts, assorted dates etc, and juices like Rose Syrup, Lassi, Jallab.
Soups in the menu were Lentil Soup and Chicken & Vegetable clear soup.
All kinds of salads , hot & cold mezzeh, pickles, dips, oils etc …….some of these like Cauliflower pickle, Beetroot Pineapple salad, Tuna Salad, Fried Eggplant, Russian Salad, Pasta salad, Greek Salad, Assorted Garden Vegetables, varieties of Lettuce, Olives, Moutabel, Hummus, Fattoush, Chickpea Salad, Chilli pickles, Sweet chilli dip, Capers, Chilli Oil, Labneh balls,Sundried Tomatoes , vinaigrette Dressing, balsamic dressing, and so much more.
Assorted mixed grills , Chicken Mandi, Whole Lamb Ouzi were the centre of attraction.
Each dish was cooked to perfection. Chicken Mandi is a must try if you plan your visit. The smell and taste are simply irresisitible.

Again it was hard to slect from an extensive line up of desserts …… Assorted Fruits, Apple Crumble,Umm Ali, Black Forest Cake, Mango Mousse Cake, Chocolate Cake, Basbousa, Caramel Pudding, Carrot Cake, Coffee Cake, Pistachio & Chocolate Mousse. I tried bites of few out of so many indulgent desserts but the most delectable one I found was the soft carrot cake .
