UAE and GCC Residents choose the often undiscovered food scene in Dubai
Dubai, United Arab Emirates: 23rd February 2016: The Dubai Food Festival, an annual citywide culinary celebration, has announced GCC and UAE residents’ Top 20 favourite unsung heroes of the Dubai food scene as part of The Dubai ‘Hidden Gems’ campaign www.dubaihiddengems.com.
The t0p 20 nominated outlets are Mannaland, Bu Qtair, Ustadi Special Kabab, Al Ibrahimi, The Hot Dog Stand, Nar, Yakitate, Arooos Damascus, Serena’s Seafood, Al Samad Al Iraqi, Sum of Us, Azkadenya, Buffalo Wild Wings, Kabab Erbil, Seafood Market, Bait Al Mandi, Bikers Café, Mustard, Wooden Cellar, and Al Safadi.
Quietly tucked away behind the traditional tourist trail, these boutique, independent restaurants across the city have often been favourites of locals and residents for years. The increasing popularity of these local haunts, which continue to pop up as Dubai develops, inspired Dubai Food Festival to launch their Dubai Hidden Gems campaign as part of this year’s celebrations.
Dubai Hidden Gems have been announced on TimeOutDubai.com with full location details and a detailed write up on each.. The top 20 will also be given official recognition from Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).
The Dubai Hidden Gems campaign is a citywide promotion for Dubai’s eclectic mix of residents and visitors to take ownership of Dubai’s food culture and share it with the rest of the world.

DFF 2016, which is organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), will run from 25 February to 12 March under the theme ‘Celebrate Taste’.
